When King Josiah rallied with reform for the nation of Israel, the book that had been shut away was read. The people then knew when they read the book of the law, how that their fathers had forsaken the covenant of God. They realize that their destructions had come when those who went before them turned their face away from the God who had established them and loved them as His very own. The scriptures tell us that Josiah did what was right in the sight of the Lord, 2 Kings 22:2. He took steps in making corrections and for several years, Israel had respite.

This biblical History was set in scriptures, so that the generations to come, could read and not stumble at the covenant of God. All they would have to do was cooperate and He would surround them with peace & with His protection.

Begin to read in the Old and in the New Testaments so that you can understand cycles that can be broken for you. God is here today with us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He’s an up close and personal God. His ability to bless you is still the same, and even more. We are called kings and priests unto Our God and we have the ability to affect the nations.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
