To the One Who Keeps the Fast

Our body is the dwelling place of the Spirit Of God. No wonder the Apostle Paul said to present your body as a living sacrifice, (Rom. 12:1a) Fasting is part of the discipline of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. So when  you study and pray, incorporate fasting at periodic, but routine times so that you can easily silence the voice of your flesh, and allow your spirit, that’s connected with God’s Spirit to dominate your thinking and your actions.

This area of caution exists; not to violate, or override; or quench that purity of the word coming up on the inside. Keep a steady diet of the pureness of God’s love flowing into your ears and eyes at all times.

Luke 6:47,48

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
